INFLUENZA VACCINE(SPLIT)COMPOSITIONThe vaccine is prepared with A and B strains of influenza virus corresponding to prevailing epidemiological evidence of the year, by the procedure of seeding into embryonated chicken eggs, harvesting then being concentrated, purified, split, inactivated and re-purified. The main substance is Influenza virus, split, inactivated, and containing antigens:A/New Caledonia/20/99(H1N1)-like virus --------15μgA/Wisconsin/67/2005 (H3N2)-like virus; --------15μgB/Malaysia/2506/2004-like virus ---------------15μgfor one 0.5 ml syringe-The vaccine complies with the W.H.O. recommendations (northern hemisphere) decision for the 2006/2007 year season.– The other components include the following: Thimerosal, Potassium Phosphate Dibasic,Sodium Hydrogen Phosphate,Sodium Chloride, Potassium Chloride .1. WHEN SHOULD IT BE USEDVaccin is a suspension for injection in syringe of 0.5 ml .This vaccine is recommended for the prevention of influenza.2. INFORMATION REQUIRED BEFORE USING VaccinDo not use Vaccin if:(1) People with fever, acute disease and influenza. (2) People allergic to egg or with other allergic reaction history. Take special care with Vaccin:Inform your doctor if you or your child:– are immunodepressed,– are allergic or have shown any abnormal reaction following a previous vaccination.This vaccine should never be administered by the intravascular route.Pregnancy and lactation:There’s not enough research available. Ask the advice of your doctor or pharmacist before using it. List of excipients with known effect:Thimerosal, Potassium Phosphate Dibasic, Sodium Hydrogen Phosphate, Sodium Chloride, Potassium Chloride.Use with other medicinal products:Vaccin can be given at the same time as other vaccines by using different injection sites.The immunological response may be diminished in case of immunosuppressive treatment.3. HOW TO USEPosology:For children of 6 35 months, one 0.25 ml syringe, the second injection of 0.25 ml is made 4 weeks after the first injection . For children over 3-years-old, adults and the aged, one injection of 0.5 ml is made. Method of administration:Vaccination is located in deltoid muscle of upper arm, mix the product thoroughly before use. Administration rate and time:Due to the seasonal nature of influenza, it is recommended to perform vaccination against influenza every year, either at the beginning of autumn in temperate countries or at the beginning of the risk period in tropical countries.4. UNDESIRABLE EFFECTSAs with all medicinal products, Vaccin may cause undesirable effects:(1) Redness, swelling and pain may occur in injection site in minor person 12 24 hours after injection, which will normally disappear in a short period and will not affect normal activities. (2) Muscle ache, headache, dizziness, sweating, unfitness, fever, shivering and other systemic reactions may occur after vaccination. Normally, no treatment is needed. The reactions will automatically release in one or two days. (3) Allergic reaction: Seldom seen. (4) Rare reactions: Neuralgia, arthralgia, paraesthesia, convulsion and transient thrombocytopenia. (5) Extremely rare reactions: Serious hypersensitivity reactions lead to anaphylactoid shock, vasculitis, transient implicate kidney, nerve confusion, as encephalomyelitis, neuritis and Gullian-Barre syndrome. 5. HOW TO STORE VaccinKeep out of the reach and sight of children.The product should be stored at + 2°C to + 8°C (in a refrigerator) and protected fromlight.Do not freeze.Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the label or the package.This vaccine must not be used in the event of coloring or presence of foreign particles.The shelf life is 12 months.
